Reviews and Ratings <br />
My stay at this resort was quite disappointing, especially for a honeymoon. While the location near Calakmul is convenient and the natural surroundings are lovely, the overall experience was marred by unkempt conditions and unfriendly service. The rooms were not up to par, and the dining experience was average at best. Unfortunately, the pool was also not well-maintained, making it hard to enjoy some leisure time.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the staff were genuinely helpful and accommodating, the overall condition of the place was quite disappointing. The rooms didn't live up to expectations, and there were issues with cleanliness and maintenance. However, the tranquil setting offered a nice escape from the busyness of the area, and I appreciated the proximity to nearby attractions.
The hotel is set in a unique jungle environment, close to Calakmul and some interesting nearby attractions. While the surroundings are beautiful, the rooms were quite basic and not very comfortable, particularly with hard beds and no air conditioning. We encountered issues with cleanliness and service, but there were moments of charm, especially with the sounds of nature at night.
Chicanna Ecovillage has some positives, like a serene atmosphere and helpful staff. However, the dining experience is lacking with overpriced food and inconsistent service. The proximity to Mayan ruins is excellent, but the noise from nearby construction and the condition of the facilities detracted from the overall value.
My stay was quite an adventure, but it came with some challenges. The location was great for exploring nearby attractions, but the hotel facilities were quite run down and not as advertised. The rooms had some comfort issues, yet we made the best of our time here. Overall, I can't fully recommend this hotel unless improvements are made.
